It continues to amaze me that this picture just doesn’t seem to change over the years. People jump into business ownership thinking that they are going live the American Dream when actually they become indentured servants to this thing called small business ownership.
In the Affiliate Marketing arena you will notice that all the ultra successful companies have a killer logo, slogan and selling pitch. Well there it is. Logo=visual attachment. Slogan=emotional attachment. Selling pitche=identify the problem, show the solutions and a call to action. These are the companies that we all want to sell.
Each of these folks had a successful business but they did not understand what the true picture should be concerning their business in relation to their industry. What does this mean? They did not know what a P&L should look like for the average company that does business in their industry. And they did not know what their balance sheet should like either. I was truly amazed.

If you are starting a business for the first time, you may forget to include all of the little supply needs in your start up budget. You will want to look at the things that you will need for a project or just overall. You will find that there are tons of reasons for you to want to consider the little things. Things like not having a clock in a rental space could mean all the difference when trying to rent out an office. You will want to make sure that you are prepared for even the smallest things.
There are going to be so many business ideas that will come to mind, however, you will want to let go of all the silly ones and focus on the ones that you are passionate about and can make into reality. You will want to begin to build your own business slowly. It is important for you to go slow so that you can nurture it and help to succeed.
